I can safely say this past semester has been the most challenging I have experienced. "Challenging" is my positive, blog-friendly spin on it. I've had a week and a bit to sleep, eat, cuddle and walk Karl, do some laundry and slowly star to regain some equilibrium and sanity. I'm trying to push the fact I get to do it all again in a couple of weeks as far from my mind as I can.
I have lots (and lots) of cooking planned for my break, partly inspired by the big pile of gorgeous cook books I was generously given for my recent birthday (thank you pals and family!), but in the meantime here are a few snapshots of what I've been up to now I have time to, well, be a human.
Fancy seeing you here! Queenie's likeness at the Hotel Windsor.
Windsor breakfast treats. Fun juice shot, yoghurt and berries, almond croissant, baby muffin.
More breakfast, a nutella-stuffed donut.
Karl meeting Polly the Newfoundland at the doggy park.
Nifty stencils in Chancery Lane, Bendigo.
Totally gorgeous Chow Chow patiently waiting for his owner outside a cafe.
Very impressive Brunetti haul, sadly this was to share.
Yummy mandarin soda on possibly the last sunny day in Melbourne until spring.
Without any exageration, the best birthday present wrapping ever.
Last few bits of autumn holding on at the doggy park.
Shambles of a pizza made from leftovers, which ended up being totally delicious. I cannot get enough of ricotta on pizzas.
And, of course, my beautiful baby boy, who is definitely happy to have his mama around more.
